Pavement Magazine Column July 12, 2017: Responding to Regulatory Reform Initiatives

One of President Trump’s campaign promises was to reduce the burden government over regulation imposes on every day life in the U.S. To this end, each federal agency has been asked to identify regulations that seem excessively burdensome so that they can be evaluated and, as appropriate, reformed or rescinded. Federal agencies have asked for the public’s help in identifying areas regulations needing attention. PCTC’s July column in Pavement Maintenance & Reconstruction Magazine summarizes its responses to requests for input from the Department of Commerce and from the Environmental Protection Agency. The full submission to the Department of Commerce is available here. PCTC’s letter to EPA’s Regulatory Reform Task Force is available here.
